Famed Industrial Designer Worked on Skylab
Famed industrial designer, Raymond Loewy, is probably best known for his cool design of the Pennsylvania S-1 Locomotive. He also did some famous logo designs, including those for Exxon and Shell oil companies.
But he loved the space program.
And Loewy did interior design for the first American space station, Skylab. Copyright prevents me from showing his drawings on this blog, but you can see them here.
Not bad for a man born in 1893 who designed Studebakers! Loewy died in 1986.
