Boeing, Lockheed-Martin can’t compete with SpaceX

While aerospace giants whine about profits, SpaceX launches.

For all the blather that startups like SpaceX are unproven and can’t build manned spacecraft…SpaceX is doing it.

And aerospace giants like Boeing and Lockheed-Martin are (quietly) complaining that they can’t do it profitably.

Yes, taking manned spaceflight private is risky. Only one player (SpaceX) seems close to getting there. Maybe Orbital Sciences will also get there.

At least they are trying.

Meanwhile, big players like Boeing seem to be punting.

So, at the moment, all hopes rest on one small startup. Either they succeed… or America will be grounded.
